Memory upgrade with Generic and branded computer ram

newdellbanner4I always keep myself up to date with the latest in upgrades and stuff about computers. One of the most common things I do is a memory upgrade and I always made sure to buy an original piece as I thought this was the guaranteed ones to work in a computer system. However, technology nowadays dictate that even though many generic brands have come out that do work for any type of computer system, original is still a good, though not always an option especially in financial terms. The Dell memory that was so expensive back then can now be brought at lower prices due to this development. Even the exclusive Mac memory prices have been driven down due to competition so I guess this is a plus thing for consumers around the world that generic modules can now be used in place of these original ram modules.
